Presentation:
This course is designed as an introduction to the culture of short fiction. Students will be introduced to a range of significant short stories written in English. The course aims to broaden students' understanding and appreciation of short production. The short story is particularly appropriate for encouraging literary analysis. Students will be expected to apply their understanding of short story forms, contexts and techniques through a series of exercises and the production of a short story for assessment.
Objectives:
After successfully completing this course students should be able to:
1. Confidently read, understand and appreciate fiction texts.
2. Think thoroughly about selected literary texts.
3. Prepare and deliver an analysis of such texts.
4. Produce their own texts.

Presentation:
This course aims at exploring the significance of the writing skill in
EFL classrooms. More importantly, it highlights the writing approaches,
methods, and techniques used to improve EFL learners’ writing abilities to
attain proficiency.

To shed light on the cognitive, cultural, and social aspects of the writing skill.
To grasp the different approaches and methods used in EFL writing classrooms.
