Présentation du cours :

The program of this course deals with the spectroscopic analysis methods most used to characterize organic synthetic products or natural products. It includes:

Part A: Spectroscopic methods of molecular structural analysis
  • Ch.1 : Molecular absorption spectroscopy in the ultraviolet/visible (UV/Vis) range.
  • Ch.2 : Infrared (IR) absorption spectroscopy..
  • Ch.3 : Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR).
  • Ch.4 : Mass spectroscopy (MS).
  • Ch.5 : Spectrométrie d’Absorption Atomique (SAA)

Part B: Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS)

Objectifs:

Of capital importance for a chemist, the teaching of this subject allows the student:

  • to know and understand the principles of spectroscopic methods of analysis,
  • to ensure the proper functioning of the devices used,
  • to elucidate molecular structures and elements in various samples.
