Course Description
This course explores the historical, political, social, and cultural evolution of Britain from its early origins to modern-day society. Designed for Second Year LMD students under the instruction of Dr. Zouleykha Belabbes, the curriculum encourages students to engage deeply with key thematic movements that have shaped the nation.
The course is structured into four broad sections that cover major historical milestones and modern shifts:
-Early British History and Medieval Period
-The Rise of the British Empire and Industrial Revolution
-20th Century Britain: Wars, Welfare, and World Power Decline
-Contemporary British Society: Culture, Politics, and Identity

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

Evaluation Method: Student progress and mastery of these objectives will be measured through a balanced framework of 50% Exam and 50% continuous assessment.
